To quote a few personal sentences from the lecture of the excellent architect, Imre Makovecz, "My profession is architecture - an architect expresses himself through his houses ... Here I am going to speak about organic or living architecture - or rather, my own buildings will speak for me. I will only undertake to comment on the slides presented here... Although I am in my 70th year, I love to work so much that I can't stop. I go to work every morning and do what I can do. The house where I work provides employment for some 40 people. They all practice organic thinking which does not leave room for the usual duality expressed in the maxim, "Money is one thing, love another". We have to design an environment fit for people's nature, their social and spiritual disposition. A family home therefore is an architectural task just as important as designing a great church; for which one needs to ask women how they aspire to live with their children, their family - because they are the only ones with this knowledge. As long as I can continue this service, as long as an old man can still ask women about life, I will continue to do it."
