Intelligent communication networks might act and think in science fiction movies where dumb users passively resist the colonization of their lives in the dirty dungeons of a dystopic technoculture. But beyond the world of sci-fi visions, it is not technology that has the upper hand. Intelligent networks must wait for dumb users to catch up and discover the advantages of intelligent technologies. And dumb users want more control, more comfort and more time for themselves - they are not interested in intelligence per se.
