Antti Iisko Lansman (L) and his sister Anni-Sivia are pictured in the enclosure where their reindeer live, on November 25, 2021, in Nuorgam, in Finnish Lapland. - Twenty years ago the ancient livelihood of herding reindeer for meat and fur appeared to be declining in popularity in Lapland, the vast area of forest and tundra which spans northernmost Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia's Kola peninsula. But nowadays, just under a quarter of Finland's 4,000 herders are aged under 25, as more young people choose to stay in Lapland or to return there.
