FIFA have relaxed a ruling they made last month and will allow international matches to be played at an altitude of up to 3,000 metres above sea level. Last month FIFA introduced the new ruling banning matches at more than 2,500m above sea level, citing its wish to better protect players' health. The ruling has stirred up a storm in Latin America.
