Vicsek, Tamas

Physicist

Tamás Vicsek currently works as a researcher at the Biological Physics Department of Eötvös Lóránd University (ELTE). His fields of research have been: the numerical study of dense fluids (1973-77), percolation theory, simulation of cluster models (1978-1983), aggregation phenomena, fractal growth, pattern formation (computer and laboratory experiments) (1983-) and the modelling and experimental study of cooperative biological systems. Tamás Vicsek is the author of five English language books and 140 English articles, which have been referenced more than 5000 times. Many of his achievement have been published in leading journals and dailies (Science, Nature, New York Times, New Scientist, Newsweek, Time, Christian Science Monitor, Scientific American, Die Zeit, Le Figaro, etc..)
