Born in 1942, he graduated from the Physics Department of Lóránd Eötvös University (ELTE) in 1965. He received a postgraduate degree in physics in 1975. He specialises in experimental nuclear physics. From 1965 he worked at the Central Physics Research Institute (KFKI), From 1975 to 1980 he was scientific deputy-director of the Particle and Nuclear Physics Research Institute (RMKI) of KFKI and from 1980 to 1986, deputy secretary-general of the Federation of Technical and Natural Sciences Associations. Since 1986 he has been a research fellow at KFKI RMKI, studying the history of science. In the past thirty years, more than 1700 of his educational scientific works have been published in the press, journals, and broadcast on television and radio.
