CATANIA, ITALY - DECEMBER 01: A view of Etna volcano during spewed ash and lava strongly in Catania, Italy on December 01, 2023. Volcano Etna eruption began at around in the late evening of December 01, produced spectacular lava fountain from the Southeast Crater, one lava flow descended in a southwester direction while another larger lava flow descended toward the valley southeast of the crater. Since November 19, 2023, a strombolian activity has been going on with alternating small pauses up to produce this eruption. The massive ash fallout affected the northeastern slope of the volcano.
