By its size and the altitude, the reconstruction of the "Refuge du Gouter" is a major undertaking, construction began in summer 2010. The ovoid architecture of Deca-Laage architects, H Group, ha been designed to fit to aesthetical and technical environmental constraints. The refuge is scheduled to open next summer.
