Mark Cavendish a Deceuninck-Quick-Step országúti kerékpárcsapathoz szerződik a 2021-es idényre.

A megállapodást szombaton jelentette be a belga együttes, amelyben a 2011-ben világbajnok brit korábban már három évet eltöltött és ezalatt 44 győzelmet aratott.

A legjobb sprinterek között számon tartott Cavendish, aki 30 szakaszt nyert a leghíresebb háromhetes körversenyen, a Tour de France-on, 2015-ben hagyta el az akkor Etixx-Quick Step néven szereplő csapatot, a Dimension Datához szerződött, majd egy szezont a Bahrain-McLaren színeiben versenyzett.
