According to reports in Hungary and England West Bromwich Albion star Zoltan Gera has been a target for Tottenham, Bolton, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Wigan recently, but The Premiership teams haven't signed the 'Magic Magyar' yet. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder revealed on his own website that he is unhappy at his present situation and he wants to move to the Premiership because he thinks he has the quality to play there.
"Many people ask me how I can live on with the fact that I play in The Championship. I must admit that it's quite difficult for me. I've stressed many times that I would like to play in The Premiership, because I think I should be there. I know that many clubs are interested in me from the Premier League and it affirmes my conviction. Of course it's hard to deal with a situation like this, because it doesn't matter if I wanted to play in a higher division if my club officials had decided that they wouldn't let me go in any way' - Gera told.
'I'm a professional player and my club is very important for me and anyone who knows me can confirm that football is so important for me too. That's why it's evident that I'm trying to do my best at any games. Apart from this, I don't feel good at the second division, where the posibilities are much worse for me at any level unlike in The Premiership.'
'Of course I'm not happy about this situation, but I try to think positive. I've never thought of persuading my bosses by any tricks to let me go. I know that I could have legal or illegal chances to force my selling, but this is not my style. I think the last two rounds [at the Championship] proved how I'm thinking.'
'I've told all concerned parties that I want to leave, they know that I'd like to play at the highest level and they made the decision about me as they were aware of all these things. I accept it and do my job, but nobody can expect me to be satisfied with the present situation. I think there's no footballer who doesn't care with an invitation that should comes from The Premiership saying 'It's alright for me to play in The Championship.' I can't do it either and I hope that I will play in the Premiership - as soon as it's possible.'
