Az angol bajoksában az Aston Villa meglepetésre 3-0-ra nyert a harmadik helyen álló Newcastle ellen.

A birminghami csapatban Ollie Watkins két gólt szerzett és adott egy gólpasszt is Jacob Ramsey-nek, így a Villa hat pontra feljött a Newcastle mögé.

A Newcastle ezt megelőzően zsinórban öt meccset nyert, így a harmadik helyen áll a Manchester United előtt, de a manchesteriek ugyanannyi ponttal állnak és egy meccsel kevesebbet játszottak.
