PARIS, FRANCE - MARCH 27: A view of the Seine River as it aims to spend 1.4 billion euro for clean-up work in Paris, France on March 27, 2023. If the river reaches the targeted cleanliness level, some of the swimming races will be held at the Seine River as part of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Once the 1.4 billion euro project is finished by next spring, Parisians will be legally allowed to swim in the river for the first time in a century. Authorities banned swimming in 1923 because of high levels of pollution.
