A Manchester City 20 meccsesre nyújtotta elképesztő győzelmi szériáját, miután a West Ham United csapatát is legyőzte a Premier League-ben.

Pep Guardiola pihentette Gabriel Jesust, Phil Fodent, Cancelót, Sterlinget és Bernardo Silvát is, aminek kis híján meg is lett a hátránya. Az első félidő elején Jesse Lingardnak akadt két lehetősége, de nem tudott élni egyikkel sem.
