Zoltán Fodor was born in Budapest in 1964. He went to Radnóti Miklós Primary and Secondary School. He won several national mathematics, physics and chemistry competitions. He concluded his university studies in 1987 summa cum laude at Eötvös Lóránd University (ELTE). He has been working at the Theoretical Physics Department of ELTE ever since. He has been visiting researcher in various research institutes and universities in Germany, Switzerland and Japan. His field of research is elementary particles physics and grid theory. His answer given in 2001 to the most well known problem of grid theory, the achievement of finite matter density was the most quoted work on grid theory in 2003. More than 2000 independent references were made to his scientific publications.
