A Premier League 4. fordulójának szombat délutáni meccsén a Manchester City könnyedén győzte le hazai pályán a Brighton csapatát. A Chelsea megszenvedett az újonc Sheffield Uniteddel, de a duplázó Tammy Abraham vezérletével otthon tartotta a három pontot.

Pep Guardiola együttese a várakozásoknak megfelelően simán nyert a Brighton ellen, a 4-0-s sikerből Agüero duplával vette ki a részét, de David Silva és Kevin de Bruyne is elemében volt, előbbi két gólpasszt osztott ki, utóbbi egy-egy gólt és assistot jegyzett.

A Chelsea Tammy Abraham két góljával már az első félidőben megnyugtató előnyt szerzett a Sheffield United ellen, ám a második játékrészben enerváltan futballozott Frank Lampard alakulata, belealudt a meccsbe, az újonc pedig meglepetésre az egyik pontot megszerezte. Igaz, a londoniak hátvédje, Kurt Zouma is kellett hozzá, aki a 89. percben öngólt lőtt.

A Leicester City Jamie Vardy vezérletével verte a Bournemouth-ot, a Crystal Palace az Aston Villát, a West Ham a Norwichot győzte le, a Newcastle és a Watford pedig 1-1-es döntetlent játszott egymással.
