Bryan Robson is calling on Zoltan Gera and Kevin Campbell to answer his January SOS.

The Baggies boss will have to make do without the services of Kanu and Diomansy Kamara when they join up with Nigeria and Senegal respectively for the African Nations Cup.

And the Albion boss is relying on Gera (groin) and Campbell (ankle), who are currently both recovering from injury, to fill the void.

"We haven't really seen the best of Kevin and Zoltan this season," said Robson.

"I've spoken to both of them, telling them to have a bit of patience because they have had stop-start seasons.

"But by the Christmas period, I need both of them fit and flying and back to where they were last season.

"At the turn of the year, those two need to be flying because I'm going to lose Kanu and Kamara."

The Hawthorns chief is ruing the timing of the Egypt tournament because it will rob him of key players.

But Robson is counting his blessings he is only losing two of his stars at such a crucial stage in the season.

"I'm losing Kanu and Kamara but, to be fair, I was talking to Sam Allardyce at Bolton and they are losing seven players!" he added.

"They're flying and talking about Champions League football at this moment in time.

"But that may not be the case once they've lost all those players.

"Having said that, as a manager, you take these things on board when you sign players."
