Here you can find the latest news about the "Magic Magyar" of West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera has spent a short period in Hungary and then went back to England, where he continues his rehabilitation work. The 27-year-old visited the training centre of WBA on Thursday afternoon. Gera thinks his club helped him a lot while he was injured.

"I have received the possible most attention and care from the whole staff of West Bromwich and I'm very grateful for this. The latest weeks and months have caused me lots of difficulties because it's known that I feel good only when I'm playing football. When a footballer is sidelined then he's suffering more day by day. It's hard to accept when you're not allowed to play, only watch the others and you can't be in the changing room with your mates. This time you can't bear inactivity and you're more worried if the recovery is slower than you thought."

"It was a trouble for me, that as the weeks were passing by, one match was followed by another and I couldn't be useful for my team. In this situation it was very important for me that our manager, Bryan Robson stood by me and cheered me too. The doctors and everyone did their best too and, in the face of it, my comeback was slipped again and again. It was hard to get over but it was very good to feel that though I was injured, they [the club and the fans] considered me to be a valuable player, who they needed."

"I was amazed that the club allowed me to spend some days in Hungary where I was examined by Hungarian doctors. Fortunately I feel hardly any pain. I don't want to speak too soon but I hope that everything will be alright and I will be back as soon as possible. I want to be a real member of the squad and the changing room, I don't want to fight against the fitness machines but the opponents on the pitch. I would like to be with my team-mates again and fight together for WBA's Premiership stay."
